Even in that match Karthik made 85 in 63 balls completely outshining Rohit sharma. He was playing Nehra, Balaji for paddle sweep for six. Rohit is more a "swing through the line" batsman. But KKD can play real deft cricket. Especially against spinners KKD is way better than Rohit.

Number Posted April 13, 2013 Author Posted April 13, 2013 Not about replacing Dhoni, he looks good enough to get in as a specialist batsman. Even in the last IPL he looked good in patches where he was batting low down the order, in Champions League he was in very good form.

Dhoni's problem in international is not ability. It is the mindset. He just gets into this weird consolidation mode and f**ks up run rate in the process.

More than mindset its the position he bats thats the problem i would say.He needs to bat at No.4 sandwitched btw Raina and Yuvi . And Rohit coming in at 6 and Jadeja 7. But frankly batting isnt the real issue considering next T20 wc is in Bangladesh and the next one is in India.We will only win if we have quality death bowlers. As long as we rely on Dinda Ishant and Pathan we wont be winning the world cup anytime soon
