Dhoni took CSK to 56 from 24 and it looked like we could pul this off. From 58-8 to that position was brilliant. But he didn't get enough strike as Ashwin played some dot balls. Misbah only hit 1-2 big shots when Req RR was over 30 :giggle: it was same with misbah he even hit some shots like dhoni at very end and lost by big margin 20+ and he ran out of partners too like razzaq,afridi etc etc

He didn't hit till the Req RR was out of reach. Dhoni was hitting all the way through once Albie got out since he knew he won't get much support from other end.

The fact that match didn't een go to last over clearl;y indicates that it was a convincing victory for MI, despite the fact Dhoni was on crease till the very end. His runs in last 2 overs were as redundant as human nails.

So? He backed himself to get even 60-70 from last 5 like he always does but he just couldn't get any support whatsoever from other end, infact the batsmen at the other end were ruining the cause. It might not be best knock, but it is definitely not a choke.

No, you lost the game because Dhoni came at no 7. He was always going to be left stranded because you only had taileners left and you expect tailenenders to rotate strike effectively? If Dhoni had come earlier, Barvo, Jadeja wouldnt have been under great pressure and thrown their wickets away. Dhoni coming at 4-5 and you would easily have won

When did Malinga pwn him? Dhoni is THE BEST against Malinga along with Kohli. One or two dot balls don't change that. And IIRC when alinga was bowling, match was all but over with 50 required of 12 balls.
