Bumper Posted September 23, 2007 Posted September 23, 2007 Someone's gotta win. If Pak loses, they'll have no place to hide. We'll fill the board with the words 6-0 everywhere! If Pak wins, we'll congratulate India on their stupendous performances beating England, Saffies & the Aussies 3 games in a row playing a second string team & let Pak fans know that all Pakistan has managed this time is level the head-to-head record 1-1 in this cup.:haha:
Captain of Bhangra Posted September 23, 2007 Posted September 23, 2007 If it came down to prayer (as is being mentioned), wouldn't we have a far better chance, as there are 3 or 4 different religions in our team, as opposed to just one?... Anyway, if Pak wins, it saves me a £20 rip-off from buying the DVD from Cr.apinfo...
The Outsider Posted September 23, 2007 Posted September 23, 2007 Anyway, if Pak wins, it saves me a £20 rip-off from buying the DVD from Cr.apinfo... And if they lose, do we see "The Greatest Twenty20" DVD on the stands?:D

fineleg Posted September 23, 2007 Posted September 23, 2007 Whatever... This whole Ind-Pak thing is too hyped. It is just 'yet another country' we face in a WC. Repeat. Politics and win/loss in sports need to be looked at separately. If it is serious political problem, then lets not even play that country. That is better to refrain, than playing and worrying abt win/loss in a "special" way. We win - we celebrate. We lose - it hurts, whether we lose against Pak or Aus or SA is immaterial. Infact losing against Pak (final or otherwise) is better than losing against a minnow. At least we lose to a main country (cricketwise) than to some nobodys in cricket.

You cudn have asked for a better tournament.. India winning against Pakistan in Bowl out after a tie match.. India beating saffies and australia..back to back.. Yuvi hitting six sixes in an over of Broad.. India playing without 4 main players and a coach having played just one match before in this format.. And to top it all up we have and INDIA PAK final.. Couldnt have scripted it any better.. I wont be shocked if one of our bowlers get a hatrick to give the icing on the cake
