There is no congress claims. There are lots of independent media claims though
Typical reply, denial mode.:haha: Congress has been making a lot of baseless comments. And the PM supposed clean image is the big lie there.
Manmohan Singh must be the only PM in the world who goes out for State-Election-Campaign (Karnataka) of his party (Congress) when Enemy-Troops (China) have been sitting 19 KMs within his Nation (Ladakh, India) since over 2 weeks !!! Winning a state for 5 years is more Important loosing territory forever!!!

LOL..at Venkaih Naidu

Bangalore: Ruling BJP's senior leader and lawmaker M. Venkaiah Naidu had a taste of the people's power Sunday when he was snubbed by voters when he tried to muscle his way into a polling booth with party workers and supporters, jumping the queue. A Rajya Sabha member from the state, Naidu is a voter in the Malleshwaram assembly constituency, a middle class locality in the northwest of the city. When Naidu tried to walk straight into the booth with a couple of his party cadres, instead of standing in line and awaiting his turn, some of the voters already in the queue shouted at him, asking him to fall in line. Taken aback, Naidu sought to pacify the crowd saying he was in a hurry to cast his vote as he had other engagements to attend as an member of parliament from the state. As many of the voters in the queue did not know or recognise Naidu, who originally hails from the neighbouring Andhra Pradesh state, they politely told him that it was immaterial who he was; everyone had to be in line. A chastened Naidu stood in line, as did the men with him.

I don't think Cong will get a majority. In the end I expect JDS to be kingmaker and they will extract a heavy price for giving their support. with BSY playing spoilsport, this is a real possibility.

Anti Cow slaughter Bill is against constitution? Here's what the article 48 of the constitution says Karnataka has had an anti Cow Slaughter Bill right from 1964, BJP govt was over jealous and to appeal to its constituency introduced a bill where the definition of cattle has been changed, punishment made harsher and the age of animal to be slaughtered increased. Now the Cong to appeal to its own constituency, has talked about abolishing the bill altogether and to initiate a pink revolution, also proposes IT exemptions of upto 50 cr for slaughter houses and similar other measures.
Article 48A is a directive principle to States to form policy. The context in which the law is formed is environmental, not religious. Like the state has banned killing and consumption of deer since its an endangered species, this directive is to make sure viable agricultural cattle are not routed to slaughterhouses. Quite a few states require cattle to be older than 14 years old if they are to be slaughtered for food so it is certain that they cannot be useful for agricultural purposes. In their current form, cattle slaughter laws are hardly being used for this purpose but rather to discourage consumption of beef because it goes against the belief of a section of the majority religion.

Cong’s big challenge will be in 2014 in Karnataka Vinod Sharma

The Congress cannot rest on its oars in Karnataka even if it gets, as predicted by several exit polls, a clear majority in the state assembly. Its real test will be in the Lok Sabha polls when the electorate will vote for the next government at the Centre. The discourse in the just concluded polls was state-centric. The BJP was on the defensive. Its performance over the past five years saw rampant graft and lack of governance. Internal feuds took a heavy toll of the saffron party’s image in terms of political stability and transparency. If it does come about, the BJP’s defeat in Karnataka will be its third consecutive loss in assembly polls after Uttarakhand and Himachal. It will undercut badly the party’s bid to shine in contrast with Congress-ruled States by citing the achievements of its regimes in Gujarat and MP. Modi in fact was drafted to campaign in Karnataka to shore up the BJP’s floundering fortunes by highlighting the UPA’s myriad scams. But I suspect that rather than consolidating the Hindu vote split on caste lines, he ended up causing the minorities to gravitate towards the Congress at the expense of Deve Gowda’s JD (S). The anti-incumbency against the BJP was too strong for him to counter. The exact anatomy of the vote will be evident only when the final results are out— given the Indian pollsters’ proclivity to err. Of interest, however, will be the performance of Yeddyurappa’s fledgling party and whether the BJP comes second or third in the polls after the JD (S), what with HD Kumaraswamy emerging as a popular choice for the CM’s slot in different surveys. Also, on whom will the Congress rely for extra numbers in the event of falling short of a clean majority— Yeddy or the Gowda clan? The chances of it setting up a joint venture with Yeddy are greater. That will fetch the party a social alliance comprising the Lingayats for putting up a formidable fight in the 2014 elections.

Exactly - it has been a perfect display of "tyranny of the majority".
