So, lets not talk about NRI v/s non NRIs. In that native, so called people actually living are completely disconnected from the realities of that country. You can't keep flashing your badge of being resident Indian to substitute for for an argument.

People with more than 1 child need to be taxed more or something like that Again this will only lead to illegal abortion of female babies, gender imbalance is just a big problem in China due to one child policy. Education, education, and education is the only way forward. Thankfully I have come across several parents who are now taking the incentive by letting their daughters have their careers and couldn't give feck about their marriage aspirations or saving for dowry arrangements. BUT this is tiny a minority.

Stick to the topic at hand rather than being the self appointed pseudo-moral guardian here at ICF. His point is legitimate, IMO. This is an issue which effects people on a very personal level and it's very easy to tell others that they are allowed to have only one child and would have to undergo forced vasectomy after that or a state sanctioned abortion. When such a policy decision effects one personally, it's a different picture.
