Irfan Pathan has improved, but not yet to the level where he can open the bowling attack with ZK in 50-50 or to be in the playing 11 for Test matches - Do you agree? I feel he has improved a lot since he was chucked out. But the IP who claimed a hat-trick in the Pak Test with swinging, scorching deliveries to Salman Butt, Younis Khan, Yousuf Youhana is still a different Pathan. MSD cannot stand close in like to spinner to *that* Irfan Pathan. This is more older-Chaminda Vaas like Pathan - good control, mild seam or swing movement, wicket keeper standing close to stumps. Good for 20-20, Good for middle overs of 50-50. For Test matches or to open bowling in ODIs - you need the old Aussie debut Irfan Pathan. PLEASE VOTE IN THE POLL.

No tests for him yet. RP,SS,Zak and Munaf higher in the pecking order. If IKP does well in ODIs, then we can think about including him in test squad.

Do well in ODIs can mean 8 - 0 - 38 - 1 for ODIs at military medium with good control. That won't cut it for Tests. If he can get 140 speed with good swing rapping batsman on the pads consistently, then Test spot can be considered.

Irfy is rejuvenating himself......it's a MUST to give him chance in ODIs...he is useful with the bat too. Voted for 20-20+ ODI option :two_thumbs_up:

did you check out the speed gun readings in the match i saw a 140, some 138's and 135's. He seems to be bowling with a reasonable pace
