That doesn't matter when its the CEO who is betting. Just the fact that he could have abused the privileged information that was privy to him is enough. Even in chindi contests run by various companies even ordinary employees and their relatives are barred from participating because of the possibility of wrongdoing. If such precautions are taken when the payoffs are as small as a holiday in Singapore or a free dinner then imagine how much more worse it is for a team owner to place money on events in the tournament his team participates in.
