In today's age, keeper cannot just be a pure keeper. He must be a batsman as well. And I don't really think Saha is better than Dhoni in keeping either. In the past people thought Karthik was the better keeper, but we have already seen how many blunders he created while keeping when Dhoni wasn't playing.

Burden would be less on him. However, asking dhobi to move up the order is an art in itself. :giggle: btw saha is way better than dhobi. watch the test match in australia where he got chance to keep and he also contributed to the score as well

Apart from Prior nobody has done better than Dhoni outside home turf since he made his debut. Every keeper has failed at some place or the other. McCullum, Kamran, Ramdin.. Even ABDV averages merely 41 as a keeper outside his country. A future ATG. Keeping and batting consistently well had been achieved only by very few people in history. GIlly stood out. Prior is on his way. Prior was a horrible wicket keeper for many years before becoming a decent one. Far worse than Dhoni. His batting saved his ass.

It is utter nonsense to compare him with Dhoni. He is a good keeper? Dhoni is not perfect. Saha is far far from perfect.. He is slightly better than DK that's it.

Stop living in the past Outy. Dhoni was not doing well at home as well. He looke determined alongwith Kohli in the third test. YOu bagged him when he led a side 0-8 whopping.. But did you make an attempt appreciate him when he made an attempt to save the Test against England. That is what i am doing now.

Besides, keeping in one match is not sufficient to say that he qualifies as a better keeper. Let him keep in a match in India standing up to the spinners. Dhoni takes a lot of flak for his keeping, but standing up to spinners in India, he has done an excellent job. However, this is besides the topic of this thread. When it comes to captaincy, yes, after 0-8, there should have been a change in captaincy. But, unfortunately, there is no able successor. Gambhir and Sehwag, both of who were considered successors lost their form and subsequently their place in the team. All others are fairly new to the team.
