J. Trott - consistency

Very consistent (something like how Kallis used to be in batting) This line from our popular cricket website: " Trott's uncanny ability to turn a one-day international innings into an algorithm might not thrill cricket crowds around the world, but once again he underlined his worth."

Yep he's had a Hussey-isque start to international cricket. But I'd like to see if he can keep averaging close to 50 in both formats, 2 to 3 years from now.

Probably one of the best ODI batsmen currently going around. though Kallis stands out with his six hitting ability, which Trott lacks, nevertheless doesn't diminish his current position as one of the best. to average 50+ in ODIs is superb! if KP is fit, England have an excellent ODI batting line-up. Cook, Bell, Trott, KP, Root, Morgan, :two_thumbs_up:

Yes and good bowlers too Anderson, Swann... England (with imports from South Africa, Ireland, and other countries) - UNITED NATIONS but a strong cricket side in Tests and ODIs now.

He along with Cook and Bell will be the reason for defeat on a good batting track if they score at less than 80-90 SR after playing a long innings. But in difficult conditions, he is damn good :nice:

oh cmon,he was scoring at run a ball most of the inning, the same cannot be said Cook who i think needs to be more assertive on good pitches ,every team would love to have a Troot in their team.

oh cmon' date='he was scoring at run a ball most of the inning, the same cannot be said Cook who i think needs to be more assertive on good pitches ,every team would love to have a Troot in their team.[/quote'] Well, not in this match, but yes generally he is slow to get off the blocks. Remember the Quarter Final games against Lankans 2 years ago, he played a very unimportant innings there. And about Cook, yes he needs to play more swiftly. Being an opener he must make sure the team gets a good start. He is very slow indeed. Yesterday he played a poor innings in the context of the match.

And if this same dude was playing for India, you'd be whining about his strike rate. :winky:
