Don't get me started on those idiots....

There is no double standards. What the Pakis did in the 80s and early 90s was total cheating. Lifting seams, scratching the ball with bottlecaps, bouncing the ball or rolling it all along the ground to return it to the bowler ( totally illegal) and as such got crazy reverse swing. Then in the late 90s the world figured out how reverse swing works and how Pakis were enhancing it by cheating. That is why no Paki or any other bowler bowls reverse swing like Akram or Waqar , because nowadays we are only getting reverse swing by polisihing one side of the ball instead of polishing one side of the ball AND roughing up the ball by bouncing/rolling it back to the bowlers, etc. What the Pakis did, is most categorically cheating. Wasim, i still maintain is the only quality bowler from Pakiland because he didnt need reverse swing alone to get batsmen out. Imran was a total cheat, Waqar benefitted a lot from the reverse swinging yorkers and was a minnow basher anyways.

What has quality of openers have to do with bowlers tampering
Much like how chucking will affect future generation of spinners in Pak! Actually you could substitute Imran for Ajmal and the article would be even more relevant.

umpires were sleeping on the grounds or what ? and if imran , wasim , waqar all are cheaters so thn all the ATGs of 80's and 90's from AUS and ENG bowlers are cheaters too. becoz whatever you mention in bold parts its not new thing. Englanders and Aussies were involve too. why pick and choose ? why only pakis ? its bit racism from English and Aussies and now from few Indians. isnt it ?

Why now, why not 10 years ago?

IMHO ball tampering is perfectly fine' date=' separate the ftbs and the real batsman with some reverse swinging yorkers.[/quote'] :hysterical: ball tampering also means some bowlers can only get wickets with cheating :giggle:

so be it, batsman also get rules which help them cheat e.g. a ball that pitches outside leg which may go on to hit the stumps can never be given LBW, stupid rule.

I think the most stupid rule is to allow Pakistan to play cricket. They should first complete in Ranji, then in the ICC Qualification trophy to comfortably beat teams like Ireland etc. and only then they should be allowed to play ODI cricket. In Tests, Zimbabwe should replace Pakistan.

Home Paki umpires = do whatever you want. The English and the West Indies umpires took some time to catch on but by late 80s they knew what was up. England and Aussies were not involved in bottlecaps, scuffing the seam or rolling the ball back to their players.

Why now' date=' why not 10 years ago?[/quote'] who knows but why now is not a logical question. Maybe in the past he felt more loyalty to Imran to protect his legacy. Now he doesnt. Maybe its maturity with age, maybe...it could be a million things. I dont see why what Rameez is saying cannot be taken seriously. he is practically the first Paki to make allegations against Imran and IMO, that takes a lot of integrity.

The 'must pitch within leg stump to get lbw' is designed to make the game interesting, not ultra boring. Batsmen have far less reach on the leg side than off side. If lbw was legal for balls pitching outside legstump, all bowlers would bowl outside leg stump (where in tests, the margin for wide on leg stump is greater, not just any ball on legside that batsman misses, ala ODI/20-20), get the occasional one to dart in to trap batsmen lbw and all bowling figures would look like 30-20-15-5. That would be incredibly boring, watching 90% of the balls pass a foot outside legstump and batsmen unable to play it.

But it's Sohail who said it :dontknow: We take Rameez very seriously because after all he's a "cool customer".
