Yoda-esque Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Could be the end of his 35 or 36 match QF streak. I think he should retire.
cowboysfan Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 end of an era but Fed will always be the greatest tennis player ever.
Yoda-esque Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 End of the QF streak.. Its sad, but thats the way the cookie crumbles. Reminds me of the Sampras match against Bastl
Yoda-esque Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 If Murray does not win it now, he might as well pack up
Sachin=GOD Posted June 26, 2013 Author Posted June 26, 2013 :( But I am certain that there are atleast 2 slams left in him.
FischerTal Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 :( But I am certain that there are atleast 2 slams left in him. roger will retire before sachin with humility :agree:
Yoda-esque Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 :( But I am certain that there are atleast 2 slams left in him. Not possible at all. The courts are getting slower and slower and so his his foot movement and power. AO=Djoker FO=Nadal/Djoko Wimby=Murray/Djoker/some new talent USO=Djoker Nowhere to go. I felt 2012 Wimby itself was a miracle.Lets leave it at that.
Raghav_12 Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 :( But I am certain that there are atleast 2 slams left in him. Unrealistic. In last more than 3 years, he has won just one. I think end of this season he would deliberate on his future.
Yoda-esque Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 He would nevertheless remain the Greatest Ever to pick up the racquet. RF (2003-2013),Thank You for those moments of Magic!
bones Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Please read my comments during the AO and French Open and many like me, we knew Fed's major winning days were over last year, even last year he needed a bit of assistance with the roof. Fed has been a good ambassador, a great player, the greatest of them all, but his time has come to an end. Today there was a moment when Fed disdainfully smashed the ball towards Stakhy and gave a little bit of an apology showing how arrogant he is. Tennis will suffer with the decline of Fed, the injuries to Nadal, the lack of young talent and the boring play of Murray. Djokovic on his own can't keep tennis going, so there will be a period of a few years much like the early 00's, where standard drop and you have a mix of players winning. But that's 2 years away, so let us hope the big boys still contest the Semi Finals and Finals.
cowboysfan Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Unrealistic. In last more than 3 years' date=' he has won just one. I think end of this season he would deliberate on his future.[/quote'] i am not sure ,he is 2nd richest sports star after tiger and his grand slam winning days are well past.
kumar713 Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 First loss before quarter-final in 36 consecutive slams.End of one of the greatest streaks in sporting history:((
