Have never heard of this happening before. Do correct me If I am wrong. He stayed there to help out the boys. That Raina-Jadeja incident is an example. With no Dhoni there, things could have been worse since there is no senior to tell them what they did is wrong. It isn't as if the replacement is playing well but he is replaced by MS, we should have our best possible team in the final.

His inclusion will hepl the stability of our lower middle order. I dont see a reason why people want MSD out even if that would result in a weaker team...

I dont see a reason why people want MSD out even if that would result in a weaker team... how do you know this would be a weaker team wghen same team gave better result without Dhoni than with Dhoni? I know that one match, that too when Dhoni played only half of that, is not good sample size but why do you want to break the combination of team which has momentum and has won last two matches comprehensively. Bringing Dhoni back in the mix may upset the rythm of the team.

We have a head coach (ex cricketer, ex captain of an international team, ex coach of an international team for god knows how long), a bowling coach, a fielding coach, a team manager and you tell me that you REQUIRE Dhoni to sort out a school boy fight between two close team mates and friends? That is stretching a bit too far IMO.

Without Dhoni in the batting line-up we played 3 matches: 2nd Match: We crumbled (am not saying Dhoni would have won that, but atleast the Lankan's victory margin would have been lesser which would have stopped them from getting the bonus point) 3rd Match: An epic crumble happened in the middle & lower middle order. Just Kohli managed make that up. 4th Match: Luckily we didn't had to expose our middle order. And one question for you, when England is already doing well, why do they want to break their winning combination by unnecessary including KP? (per your logic)

That couldn't have been said by coaches. Coaches aren't that close to the players as the captain is.

I am sure the coach + team manager would have sorted this out. I do not see any reason why Dhoni's presence was "mandatory".
