No place for Mukund who was the captain on last A tour to England? Or for Mandeep? Poor domestic season has done them in. But on what basis has Raina been picked? Why was Dhawal Kulkarni ignored depite being the standout bowler in Ranji knockouts? And Binny continues the tradition of papa-beta syndrome of India A squads. :faceplam:

actually yeah forget dewan. thats a mistake but there are tons of better batsmen than raina in FC that deserve chance. heck, even mandeep should have been given chance instead of raina

Dewan is an opener from Haryana. He bats in tough conditions at Lahli. Lahli is considered SA of India.

Kahe ka non stop. Played one innings in late March, out for a month, played 6-7 IPL matches, 5 ODIs in Eng and the ongoing series. Needs to get a feel of SA conditions as an opener. Sensible decision IMO to send him and Vijay on the A tour.

I know who he is.scored a ton v England in tour game too. but surely there are better openers out there.Even Jiwanjot has a case imo
