gattaca Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 He did good against in Australia and India. But to me he looks overrated when quality bats are at the crease. After watching two matches he has no impact in this series until now. Its either peter siddle or Rhino. Lol at someone who had patto as legend as the display name.

Bowlers picked without domestic experience tend to go through a rough patch after the honeymoon period.
Old guy Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 he is just not bowling the correct line and length he is either too wide or too straight..i dont know how u can make such a mistake in one of the biggest series in world .. not seen pone ball which was pitched at fullish good length and swung away..clearly lacking some experince def overrated and not a legend :P
Lord Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 hes good but not as good as made out to be.did well in India which indicates hes good.not too many fast bowlers do well in India. he had a surgery recently(rkt told me),so maybe hes rusty

Lord Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 oh come on its test match dont use fitness as excuse not an excuse but can be the reason.
Old guy Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 not an excuse but can be the reason. if he is not fit enough after such a long time then no need to hype him harris is similarly unfit most of time but when he plays he shows his class
daryl1985 Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 I rate him, think he will become an extremely good bowler. He is just going through a bit of a rough patch atm.
Old guy Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 I rate him' date=' think he will become an extremely good bowler. He is just going through a bit of a rough patch atm.[/quote'] but he was always overhyped ofc he can become good bowler every bowler who plays at test level has potential to become very good but is he over rated or not ? do u remember the hype in media during south african series ?
Lord Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 if he is not fit enough after such a long time then no need to hype him harris is similarly unfit most of time but when he plays he shows his class I think hype is also associated with drama the bowler creates.Pattinson celebrates every wicket as if he won the WC where as guy like Yadav are much hence dont get the hype to me Yadav > Patto.as I said hes good but not that good.

Always thought Cummins was the overhyped one. Pattinson went under the radar initially but perhaps became a bit more overhyped in recent times. He has been overhyped in recent times in that people expect to produce world class displays in every test but he is still young and learning.

daryl1985 Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 he is good but people started rating him ahead of morkel...that to me jsut shows how over hyped this guy was Yeah that is ridiculous if people were rating him ahead of Morkel. In general i think Morrne Morkel is a very underrated bowler, especially in limited overs cricket.
bulbul Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 He is hyped same like some hype Yadav. Still good stats in tests, :two_thumbs_up:
daryl1985 Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 He is hyped same like some hype Yadav. Still good stats in tests, :two_thumbs_up: Is Yadav hyped? Everyone just says that he has pace, can move the ball both ways but lacks control. Definitely do not think he is over-hyped.
