What is Symonds' weakness?

I am sick of this guy ripping into our bowling. From watching him bat, how does one scheme against him (other than just "bowl in the right areas - the corridors of uncertainty").

Afridi was able to contain him well in the recently concluded Twenty 20 tournament. The trick is to bowl full, cramp him for room and do not allow him to chance his arm. I don't think it's good idea to bowl short or short of good length to him in particular.

He is known to a slow starter. Can be dismissed quite early in his innings. But yea , i agree with the OP. Just when we think we can have gotten past Hayden, Gilchrist and Ponting , out walks this man mammoth.

I concur..... MP... it should be rarely used... a real shart one would do the job...but trouble is we lack a right handed bowler... Too many leftysss leaves no variation. They have dealt with our leftys quite well. So the trick is not working...

spin draw him forward and making him play the sweep shot. Just like how Harbhajan was doing against Ponting. Had him in all sorts of trouble. Afridi used the same ploy against both Ponting and Symonds in the 20/20.

believe it...pathan bowls inswings...then sree bowls off and off stumps...sachin gives off breaks... these are the mixture of three different forms of bowling different length in line...and definitely, slow starters like symmonds can be noosed on...!
