SLICKR392 Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 i saw conditions and thats why i am saying he saved us ..even payed new ball well and there was swing jsut see dismissal of rahane .. also i still do not think he can succeed but he already did much more than what rohit did in last 2 away series so how can we drop him ? His first boundary was against an inswing. KT din't watch the match and neither does he know about that period of bowling from the England seamers. Is Kohli and Rahane a bench mark? They both got out during that brilliant spell.

So you think binny will be a success in test cricket? Yes or NO? No, but he has done well, helped save a test match and deserves a run. You don't drop players based on what you think. Drop them based on their performance. Forget about Binny. Do you think it is fair to drop a player who has just helped save a test match? Yes or NO?

SLICKR392 Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 We lost 2 top batsman and Dhoni in that period of play where England were swinging the ball and all 4 were bowling really well. His first 30-40 runs saved us the game.

Plus, in England, the weather changes , there is cloud cover and the ball starts swinging. It has happened here too. The conditions were not uniformly easy to bat. It changed from time to time. Binny played really well when much bigger names like Kohli and Rahane failed and there was acute pressure. We have to acknowledge the fighting spirit he showed. I always like people who do well under pressure.

However his batting is all right atleast for no.7-8
