Complacency is a character attribute.Some can be complacent even in test matches against minnows.I dont think level of cricket has anything to do with it. Professional players keep the same level of intensity. Pujara should clearly know his goals for these matches.If it is only to get fit then lower matches are sufficient.Other upcoming players can better use the opportunity provided by A tours

Yes but for that 1-2 matches are enough,thats we have warmup matches.Anyway he'll face our Test bowlers in nets before playing the matches. The point is we need to use the opportunity for other players who can benefit much more,not use it as a practice for an established batsman

Pagalpanti already mentioned this and I agree with him. Selectors are strongly considering making him test captain after Dhoni. Maybe thats also a reason for this
