msb1991 Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 I think it is fine to have the squad unchanged. The people who people want replaced are Vinay Kumar and Ishant Sharma. We have two pace bowlers ready to come in to replace them. I don't think there is much intelligent thought in dropping any of the other players and I don't think there is much intelligent thought in picking new pace bowlers to miss their first domestic matches of the season.

They are part of the side, because they are talented and let's back them. The bowlers who are waiting in wings, they can wait a bit more :yay:

Very difficult. 3 out of the next 4 games to win and Aussie players are looking settled in India. Not impossible but I won't put my money on it.

Dont want to get on the Ishant bandwagon as it was just one over, but he is generally not good enough for odi's.

Our bowling always was weak covered up due to spin friendly pitches in ct.We have to remember we lost a home series against pak.We may win the series .But fundamentally things have been wrong for many years now.First of all in odis bowlers will get hammered but still at least have some plan u see aussie have plan for yuvi,raina,jadeja where johnson is saved for them and faulknar will bowl at the death ,It seems we do not have plans and dhoni just does things on field.Atleast we can use bhuvi with the new ball and develop a guy for death bowling. Selection will be issue,But it is clear there is bias and there always will be but ishant case is extreme even rohit sharma has been dropped more times also vinay kumar is a proven failure now but still we persist.Selectors are like dogs commanded by dhoni but that can be good thing as captain gets what he wants but there is no accountability .So enjoy the ride .

Cant remember a home ODI series we won after being 2-1 down barring perhaps one vs Zimbabwe under Dada (Yuvraj's comeback series in 2002)

Change is needed in BCCI. Cricket shouldnt be a bollywood tamsha, make decent witckets where bowlers get some assistance so their confidence go up and they are not forced to bowl off stump yorkers just to save their ass from getting hit. Until then it will remain a one sided affair and india will never produce a good pacer.
