Easily the best top 3 in ODIs right now. Dhawan-Rohit has worked from the get-go and both have formed great partnerships with kohli, rohit-kohli having chased many big scores. And they have done well in England where there was something for the bowlers like bounce, some movement, turn. I believe they alll did reasonably well in west indies too where it was at times hard to bat. Then 5-0 zimbabwe. The good thing about this top 3 is that if one fails, you know one will at least stay and stabilise the innings. But this means we need a more solid middle order. Looking good for Team India!

And we have Dhoni at 6. Only problems are 4 and 5. You put Pujara/Rahane there and the few matches that we lose even those won't happen.

I honestly think Dhoni should bat at 5 with Raina at 6 for finishing. But still, it's great to have him at 6. I'm not sure on pujara as he failed in Zimbabwe whilst rayudu/rahane did well and would rather he concentrate on tests but i'm sure he'll make the XI sometime. I think rayudu at 4 in ODIs and Rahane in tests at 4/5 would be better. What do you think?

The bst part is two of them were not even regular members of the side at the start of the year! Yuvi has scored a 50 today, Raina has been getting to 20s and 30s. Wont be long before those two get their beastly form back and then our top 6 will be the strongest in the world

Tbh not sure if we have to make any changes to the batting line up. Both Yuvi and Raina have been very good ODI players for us over the years and there's a good chance they'll be back to their best sometime soon. One option is to separate them by swapping Raina's and Dhoni's batting positions. The other option is to drop one of them and try Rahane/Rayudu/Pujara at #4.

Could it be possible to have Gambhir at number 4 to provide more solidity ? Could it be an option (especially for the 2015 world cup) ? One out of Raina & Yuvi (Whoever is in form) can than form the No. 5.
