Now why SRT did not come forward and play an off side drive or cove the swing and with big stride. Why it is necessary to do that when it is risky and ball is swinging like that? I do not understand that. Sometimes, you need to look ugly and survive. Rohit did that. Kohli's wickets was what created problem for us as our 4th and 5th are batting poorly. Raina ran him out too. This is how you play when you are not confident of covering swing. It is not like Rohit does not play off drives or take big strides. He does but not early on, especially, when ball is swinging that much because it invites more risk. He took safety first approach. I can show you him driving likes of Johnson in front foot through covers, but you could not do on those because those were not half volleys but good length where you had to play on the up which was not easy because of extra bounce along with swing.

when steyn bowls in the corridor of uncertainty and swings it at pace, its almost impossible to score of him. Rohit did really well to leave them without edging it. The fours hit of steyn by virat were half volleys.
