Sachin=GOD Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 If Steyn & Co continue to bowl like they have till now, our entire 11 will come back from SA in bits & pieces :phehehe:
Square Drive Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Title is self Explanatory. Here is my X1 S.Afridi© C.Harris(vc) R.Singh D.Sammy M.Ealham T.Moody P.Simmons R.Jacobs(WK) A.Matthews B.Mcmillan R.Peterson Criteria Not including Batsman who were handy bowlers or VIce Versa.Eg;Guys like SRT,Richards,Gayle etc have taken quiet a few LOI wickets but that was not their primary role.SImilarly bowlers like Pollock,Vettori etc are excluded for the same reason. Likes of Jayasuriya and Kluesner have been excluded because one has a 300 at the test level and the other some impressive spells to qualify them above that level. I mean to assess if someone was truly bits and pieces, you should have followed their career,I mean for all we know Sobers could have been one despite his accomplishments :dontknow: :--D You will find abundance of such players from the England ODI team of the 90's but obviously I have picked the best quality of these types of Players I have seen. I picked Jacobs because he was an average keeper who was a decent bat and did well for WI in the early part of the decade. Pick your own X1 :poink: Mathews is not bit and pieces. Even if he's now, should have waited more to see how his career progresses (still just 26y).

Sajid_Rana Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 LoL at people calling Afridi as bits n pieces player. The guy will probably end up as 3rd highest ODI wicket taker of all time and make into any current ODI team as a bowler alone.
Sean Bradley Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Any bits and peices 11 without Sir is farce.
cric_fan Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 I would slot Ravi Jadeja somewhere in there too.
maniac Posted December 9, 2013 Author Posted December 9, 2013 Michael Yardy Sterotypical English bits and pieces cricketer but not the same quality as people mentioned
