Not just match referees but also umpires. In the first ODI Dale Steyn got away with bowling 4 bouncers an over to indian batsmen. If Ishant bowls once bouncer out of place against ABDV the umpires will wide him straight away. I have noticed this pattern for the past 5 years and no-one (including myself in the hope that I was being hypersensitive) has spoken out against it. It's like the umpires are determined to prove that Indians can't play short bowling whilst their gora heroes are brave warriors.
putrevus Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 sunny is spot on, there is lot of bias going on against Asian countries.
BeautifulGame Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Gavaskar is really obsessed with them jeez. Its probably true that they were biased when Sunny was playing but doubt thats remotely the case nowadays. And something like this repeatedly coming from an Indian legend like Gavaskar does reflect bad on the Indian team as well.As if they are whinners

No, he doesnt. hes a bloody BCCI stooge along with shastri in the commentary box

Didnt Gavaskar take a shot at England during those London riots amidst the 2011 tour?

Im a through and through Aussie fan(emotional reason), but India is my 2nd fave team thanks to personal family reasons :3. India didn't have this much hatred directed at them until I think 2009 when they started their stubborn resistance against DRS. It's saddening, but it really does feel like the whole world is against them. Virat Kohli's attitude doesn't help either. He is universally hated according to my best friends in Australia.
mancalledsting Posted December 15, 2013 Author Posted December 15, 2013 I think you guys need to stop caring about what other countries and their fans think of us. They don't care a damn for India and any statement they make for/against India is purely selfish agenda driven. We need to do what is best for ourselves. We were single handedly robbed in Sydney by a long standing biased against India MOFO like Bucknor. I don't see why we should not have stood up against that injustice? Especially when we were silent about it for years.

They have the biggest number of scumbags in their team like Watson, Warner, Haddin, Ponting (before we sorted him out)

I dont think players attitude or being hated hardly matters much as long as they perform. He is hardly David Warner esque in attitude . You certainly are right with regards DRS.Its becoming more and more bizzare with every series
GoldenSun Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 I dont think players attitude or being hated hardly matters much as long as they perform. You certainly are right with regards DRS.Its becoming more and more bizzare with every series I agree though that DRS seems to be REALLY flawed and it showed during the Northern Hemisphere Summer Ashes and now with Root's dismisal. I didn't expect BCCI to go after CSA especially considering how India and SA had close bonds. It seems a lot of people in SA seem to be pissed off at BCCI at how they curtailed the tour. I was on their FB page a LOT during the 2010-11 series and i didn't see this much vitriol.

The way people go on about Sydney and some planned cbias really confuses me.If the umpires are biasesd againsed us they dont we accept DRS.Is computers biased against as well

If aussies have a banter & swear words at their opposition its called aggression. If virat shows middle finger, he is most hated boy in the cricket world. Total bias
mancalledsting Posted December 15, 2013 Author Posted December 15, 2013 The way people go on about Sydney and some planned cbias really confuses me.If the umpires are biasesd againsed us they dont we accept DRS.Is computers biased against as well problem with DRS is not only does it contain limitations and errors (which I agree on average will be less than real time human error) but it is also subject to umpire bias. If an umpire awards marginal decisions in favour of team A and marginal decisions against team B then after the reinforcement by the "umpires decision function" you are left with more sophisticated version of screwing a team over. Because a team loses its right to appeal against a howler after appealing against marginal decisions. Exactly- just by reading this paragraph it just demonstrates what a messy system it is in its current form. It still needs further refinement.

It favours umpire bias becoz its job is to overturn howlers. If there is not enough evidence then it is reasonable to rule in favor of the umpires. No one gets screwed over with this.It is far better than getting howlers and having no option but to accept it Fact is every other cricket board is happy with it apart from BCCI and it looks highly whinning then when u whine about umpire decisions after rejecting DRS
vvvslaxman Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Oh come on ! Those are not bouncers :phehehe: IF those are bouncers I am Bill Gates :cantstop:
