AAP men spar with Kejriwal, question LS tickets to Ashutosh, Rajmohan Disgruntled Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers on Sunday protested outside party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal’s residence here, shouting slogans against the selection of some AAP candidates for the Lok Sabha polls and accusing the party leadership of being inaccessible. The protest, by a group of around 20 AAP workers, coincided with Kejriwal leaving for a rally in Mathura. The protesters alleged when they confronted Kejriwal, he told them that “they would not get ticketsâ€. “He said loudly in front of the media that the party would not give us tickets. But that is not why we are here for. He is trying to mislead people,†Ashwini Upadhyaya, one of the ‘founder members’ of the party, said. “We came to meet Kejriwal. The main issue is how tickets are being ‘doled out’ in the party. Those who have just entered the party are being given tickets, and no explanations are being given by the party. Only four or five leaders are privy to these decisions. The AAP talks of swaraj, but doesn’t implement it within the party,†he said. When Kejriwal emerged from his residence to leave for his scheduled rally in Mathura around 11 am, he was greeted by loud slogans by the protesters. Some of them even shouted, “Kejriwal is a liar.†A protester said, “The party used to say that there would be a cooling-off period for every person. This meant that once they became a general member, they would have to work for four to six months before they could become active members. But people like Rajmohan Gandhi and Ashutosh have been parachuted in,†he said. Earlier this week, Upadhyaya had called a press conference, in which he alleged that candidates for several parliamentary seats had been already decided and pointed to the lack of internal democracy within the party. “All of the processes they have put in place for the elections, are for the purpose of increasing the party’s database… But this is cheating the people, for while the image is that anybody can apply for a seat, these decisions have already been taken,†he alleged.

Arvind Kejriwal may deny that he accepted 'Z' category security from Delhi Police, but cops doing duty outside his Tilak Lane flat tell a different story. Police sources said, in keeping with Kejriwal's security category, 22 personnel have been deputed to protect him.
Since then, 22 personnel have been posted with Kejriwal. Although he doesn't allow the PSOs to sit in the car with him, four-five cops trail his WagonR in an escort vehicle. Four officers are posted around him round-the-clock in eight-hour shifts while the same number of officers do duty outside his residence. Not only that, traffic and local police are also informed whenever Kejriwal has a programme or when a crowd gathers at his residence.

IMO the single worst thing about the AAP since the Delhi election results has been the fact that after so many complaints over so many issues by so many AAP leaders/workers, Kejriwal or other senior leaders still think that they are running the party perfectly well hence till date they have not addressed any of the issues raised by these workers/leaders. Instead, in most cases they have blamed the leaders/workers - either by saying that they wanted tickets for themselves or that they were influenced by Cong/BJP.

Everything else doesn't matters... At least till DM decides to ditch the party... Or has he already? :hmmmm:
