Was the 2003 wc team, the best odi team we ever had?

Just watching the 2003 wc India vs Sri Lanka match. What a team we had, Sachin Sehwag Sourav Rahul Yuvi Kaif Dinesh mongia Harbhajan Zaheer Srinath Nehra The top order had the best batting line up. Middle order had the likes of sourav, dravid, yuvi kaif . Zak, nehra were bowling 140 plus..experienced srinath.. kumble or bhajji doing well as spinners. Only weakness was dinesh mongia I guess. But he was a decent all rounder in my opinion.

The 2003 team was awesome but yeah I think 2011 was a better side.

2007 sourav and sachin were in poor form. Sourav was almost dropped from the team, sachin was struggling with a tennis elbow and forced to play in middle order. Sehwag was in bad form too. Dravid had to fight for sehwag's inclusion in the team. Zak wasn't as quick as 2003 wc. Munaf was ridiculous during 2007 wc.

2011 was better. That batting line up of Sachin, Sehwag, Gambhir, Kohli, Yuvi, Dhoni, Raina was unmatchable.

The current team may be equally talented but not quite as proven as the 2011 one. Consider all the others to be roughly equivalent, the big change is to have replaced Sachin with Jadeja. That is a batsman with a bowler.

2011 sachin wasn't as good as 2003 wc. Sachin was just unbelievable in 2003 wc. 2011 wc team didn't had the best bowling line up compared to 2003. Zak, nehra were just incredible during 2003 wc. 2011 wc team had too many changes in the team. Sreesanth, nehra, ashwin, Yusuf pathan, Raina, chawla were dropped and picked again and again. It never looked a settled team. During 2003 wc, just one change was made with spinners.

2003 WC team was much better in terms of batting, bowling and fielding. It was bad luck that 2003 WC Australian team was much better. If I remember correctly we only lost to Australia in that World Cup both in the league match and ofcourse the finals other than that we won against all other teams very dominantly.

2003. It was a more balanced team. We are always a good batting side, but look at that bowling unit. Srinath, Zak, Nehra, Agarkar, Kumble, Bhajji of 2003 much better than Zak, Munaf, Nehra, Sreesanth, Bhajji, Chawla of 2011.

2003 even though it was better in bowling , batting especially batting under pressure was never a forte of 2003 team's stars. That 2003 team when put under pressure would crumble.

The 2003 WC team had no finishers whatsoever. No Raina, no Dhoni and a Yuvraj who was a baby version of his 2011 self. Even the 2011 bowling unit was better due to the all-round dimension of Yuvraj.
