What people need to realize about batting conditions

It's easy to read someone's score on cricnfo and come out and say that he failed again etc. So on already tough south african tracks, with Steyn in the line up and this deadily rainy conditions, it becomes more harder to score. Pujara, is not only India's best, but one of the best in the whole world and even he got out early today. Vijay who looked sublime yesterrday, fell short of 100 too today. So don't blame Rohit for getting out early. Yes he might have played a better shot to it, but sometimes it's just hard to read bowler's delivery in such conditions especially when you are put into bat after rain. I am glad our youngsters are getting to face all these situations that early in their careers, this will only make them better bats. I am glad Pujara and Vijay put us up in the game yesterday, otherwise it would have been hard for us to put much on the board. Come on India.

But isn't it moronic, to blame someone and to ask for someone to be droped after 3 tests in his career? Let me put it this way. It's like asking a software engineer or any professional who has just completed his degree after all those hard working years, to be fired and told to leave what he is doing and fine some other work, because he just made a minor mistake. or hasn't had a great start to his career as a professional. It takes time man. You think someone else in our domestic, will come out and start scoring 50 and 100s every game against Steyn in these conditions? We might have lot of talent in INdia, but A Dravid or a Tendulkar, Laxman isn't born in every era.

He does have things to work on. Infact all players have. This young team have lot ot show. Even Pujara and Kohli have lot to prove that they can do what they did in first test, on consistent basis in future tours. If they aren't they will be probably replace by players, but give them time to prove not just baby 2 game series.

nobody is asking or should ask rohit to be dropped , he had a bad series so what, it happens, if he continues this way along with Dhawan then we have case but it is very early days for both Dhawan and Rohit. Many great players have bad first tours it happens, you just don't players are these small sample sizes. But you cannot use the pitch and conditions as excuses, kohli goes now

With you on that. This is purely on the basis of test series. He is yet to prove he can be world class. I am not his fanboy, just pointing him out as I am fan of the Indian Cricket team so basically fan of every player in the team.
