Those dark clouds are giving me some hope. I don;t know how the umpires have not taken the light meters out yet. In these overcast conditions, if they do allow play to continue, we could be blown away in a session though

We can..But it is not going to be easy..Saffers are going to come at us with full force. Another epic innings needed from the likes of Vijay, Pujara , Kohli and Rahane. But will they do? It is one thing playing god in first innings and another thing batting to save the match.

Our pace attack is to blame for this. Even if they had bowled at an average of 40 Odd runs/wicket, India would have had a lead of 30 - 40 runs. Instead, 3 wickets for 350 runs. In South Africa. Horrendous !

Dhoni and his bunch of Trundlers can take much of blame but, to start 2nd Day with 200 odd runs and just 1 wkt, it is overall failure of a side which as expected sh*ts in its pants when playing in such situations overseas.

India have batted out 5th day to save a test match in South Africa twice. Das and Dravid did the hardwork on first occasion while Gambhir helped India out on 2nd occasion. Bit of a positive intent will help. Put the bad balls away, don't go into the shell before a lunch/tea, don't get sucked into verbal banters, and run well between the wickets. Rahane should bat ahead of Rohit but I don't expect bull-headed Dhoni to change the batting order. I'd even consider using Jadeja as a session-watchman. If India loses a wkt right before a break, send Jadeja in. If we can get 30 ball out of him, it's a bonus.

This Test is gone, we will be bundled out cheaply for 150-160 I am afraid. The morning moisture, overcast conditions, lethal trio and fidgety Indian batting order. Not good signs for India in this Test.
