Steyn is a throw back to the greats of yesteryear. I grew up watching the West Indian fast bowlers, and the quicks from Australia and Pakistan. England had a few decent pacers too when I was a lad [bob Willis, prime ITB]. Then the 90's were a goldmine - too many quality fast men. Steyn is it atm.

Absoluely. Steyn is undoubtedly greatest cricketer to make debut in 21st century.

My team David Warner Graeme Smith Cheteshwar Pujara Michael Clarke - C Kumar Sangakkara Shane Watson Brad Haddin - WK Stuart Broad Ryan Harris Dale Steyn Nathan Lyon Yeah I know there are better spinners than Lyon but in this fit he works perfectly. I felt that de Villiers is an amazing batsman but Kumar Sangakkara is better and I gave Haddin the gloves because Kumar bats better without them on and also that Hadds knows how to bat with a tail and is the best keeper at the moment that plays international cricket. David Warner is there simply because I want one aggressive opener batting with a slower paced batsman in Graeme Smith. Pujara is a must along with Clarke. Steyn is a must, Broad is a very underrated bowler who has taken the most wickets this year and add to the fact that he can bat somewhat. Ryan Harris is also a throwback to the 80's like Steyn and can skid the ball and swing it. As much as I hate him I have to put Shane Watson, he can score runs, dismantle bowlers, get injured and bowl tight overs to give the quicks a rest. I really wanted to include de Villiers but a player like Watson on song is amazing.

Misbah tries hard for Pakistan. But world X1, no.
