diga Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Supreme Court refuses to bar hate speeches The Supreme Court today said it will not intervene to stop politicians from delivering hate speeches. "We are a country of 128 crore people and there may be 128 crore views. This is the maturity of a democracy. For a person making such a speech, it may not be a hate speech," said the judges who heard the case. Their verdict was based on a Public Interest Litigation or PIL which said the top court should instruct the Election Commission to stop politicians from making hate speeches and "flash promises" designed to influence voters. "Let all shades of opinion come before the public. Let them decide," said the Supreme Court judges. They underscored that an order from them on hate speeches would amount to an infringement of the right to free speech.
gaurav92 Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 WTF is that suppose to mean. Just contest from Ahmedabad and defeat Modi or anyone who is contesting on his behalf from there. This is like, "Maine jagah chuni hai, aa ab mujhse lad". If Modi contests from Varanasi and looses this will be not a very big deal but if he wins after this challenge, it will be the end of Kejriwal's political carrier. AAP is doing the same mistake which Congress did from last three years stop targeting one man, you are ideollogical party don't become individualistic. Its too late already. They have taken the Dilli assembly elections win far too seriously, now you can see arrogant AAPians leading for an all out attack against Modi in the LS elections. Poor souls don't know how badly they will get slaughtered in these elections. Getting less than 10 seats will not be an easy pill to swallow for Kejritards :(( Oh I feel for them :mama:

There were talks of Modi fighting from Varanasi so that BJP maximizes its performance in UP. This may scare Modi away from UP. More importantly, this is to keep the issue of gas-pricing/corruption/crony capitalism/Undisclosed-funding-sources in focus.
Sachin=GOD Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Another election tracker from CNN IBN at 8pm tonight....

More importantly' date=' this is to keep the issue of gas-pricing/corruption/crony capitalism/Undisclosed-funding-sources in focus.[/quote'] But still, AAP has got all the support from people like us was because they were targeting corrupt politicians and fighting against corruption was the main agenda. It seems now they are targetting just one man and incidentally that one man has not a single case of corruption against him. Is seen as an honest individual. His brother still has a cycle repair shop and his mother still lives in old house in village. So why and how can Modi be the main target? If it is due that age old Communal , Secular BS then beleive me he is gorn, totally a gorn case.
gaurav92 Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Another election tracker from CNN IBN at 8pm tonight.... But But But all the media channels are paid to show Modi and hide Kejri. Isn't that imperative that they are given loads of money by the BJP to show up 200+ seats in the opinion polls.

He questions Modi on gas-pricing/corruption/crony capitalism/Undisclosed-funding-sources. Look in Modi thread, check out this post for ex. He also wants to analyse Modi's development claims in Gujarat.

diga Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Sheila Dikshit appointed as new Kerala governor...banished after delhi defeat or reward for all that sycophancy?
Sachin=GOD Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Sheila Dikshit appointed as new Kerala governor...banished after delhi defeat or reward for all that sycophancy? I'd say reward for 15 years of loyalty. But in all probability she might not stay for long as the new Govt will definitely change many Governors to reward their own set of loyal leaders.
