Number Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Lot of ppl supporting Modi cuz he is not from congress.. Just like it happened with Obama after Bush juniors 8 years.. Then there are some anti-secular folks who don't like to see the way likes of Mulayam Singh operates or appease minorities. Then there are some who thinks riots of 2002 was right way to handle.. Then there are few who are straight anti-minority Then there are some business communities who liked the way Modi made progress in Gujarat Forgot to count those who just hate Congress and want to see their end.

As for Chouhan - he is not yet ready for the top post but if BJP does form the next Govt (which they most probably will) then I would like to see him in a big National role.

May be Shivraj Singh Chauhan. I think all the possible PM candidates, Modi, Rahul, Kejru, Mulayam, Mamta - all are vey poor communicators in terms of putting your point across. Of course BJP cant afford it, they need votes on the Modi wave. He needs to learn to be less funny in his talks though. its not ICF. Its India to run :hysterical: Are you kidding me? Modi is among the best speakers.. His English is weak but in Hindi n Gujarati he is da best.

Naturally opposition will benefit from it. Much like how AIADMK and DMK enjoyed benefit of corruption from each other. It is always about picking the lesser evil while punishing the non performing government.

Its India to run :hysterical: Jaitley has not even fought a lok sabha election till now and last i checked he is involved in a close fight with captain Amrinder. He does not have a base. BJP already went down this road with Advani. A sindhi with no base to call his own apart from pan hinduism. It did not work out. I have seen Chauhan speak. He is no orator. Modi has given rallies in Marathi for example. I doubt Chauhan has that ability to connect. Parrikar again, small state and no base.

I agree and listening to him over the years, you can pick the point if you ignore the rhetoric. But you need time to understand him. Anybody who is listening to him for the first time will dismiss him as a cheap guy pulling rhetorics on his opposition.

Like it or not the BJP will have to tap into the OBC vote bank in a big way. India has changed since the time of Atal Bihari. Its either Chouhan or Modi. Two strong OBC leaders.

Not really a thinker to get ideas. Ideas can come from your team. you being able to effectively communicate with your team and your countrymen and outside is a HUGE plus. Huge. thats why doctors who communicate well as more successful.

Also Modi has been in the news for a while. He has already developed an image like the public know him already very well. After all these years you come up with a new candidate you would have to start from the scratch again.

Of course we dont know the intricacies of the parties. decisions would be based on that too so you answered your own question. Why is there a modi wave? The masses like him. Give the masses what they want. PArrikar for eg has only recently become CM again. Prior to that he bungled the entire campaign and lost out to some weak congress candidates

I am saying based on my facebook interactions. There is overwhelming support for him there. Only mistake they have done there is they should have fought there alone.

In AP i sort of agree they should have fought alone. TRS, Jagan and TDP are all ready to support government. But the BJP top brass have thought that its better to form an alliance with TDP to block the congress from getting any seats in Telangana. The BJP atm in Andhra is set out to deny the congress seats and hopefully ask for support from the remaining three parties. If they can keep the congress to 5-7 seats and win 2-3 seats themselves. Some 33 seats effectively become their allies in forming government. Karnataka and Kerela they are fighting on their own.
