Vilander Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Here is an interesting factoid: At Antarctica's southern pole of inaccessibility - the point in Antarctica furthest from any ocean - there is a large statue of the Soviet revolutionary Vladimir Lenin. And what do you know, the Lenin statue is facing Moscow! Read more about it here: http://www.stuff.co.nz/201621 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pole_of_Inaccessibility_(Antarctic_research_station) http://slightlywarped.com/crapfactory/curiosities/2010/lenin_statue_in_antarctica.htm This stuff is Epic, buggers Russians so bloody cool.

EnterTheVoid Posted June 16, 2014 Author Posted June 16, 2014 Pictures were taken with a point and shoot in case anyone was wondering. I don't even know to use a DSLR. Never owned one before.
BlueBee Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 It really doesn't look like that. You've some great (Hidden) photography skill
BlackMamba Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 I thought you could even land in Antarctica? Can you not? I mean as a tourist . I thought I saw Juhi Chawla doing that some times ago and she posted a selfie.
EnterTheVoid Posted June 16, 2014 Author Posted June 16, 2014 I am sure Juhi Chawla has more influence and pulling power than me. She has the cash to make things happen.
EnterTheVoid Posted June 17, 2014 Author Posted June 17, 2014 It really doesn't look like that. You've some great (Hidden) photography skill Cool. Thanks for the feedback.
EnterTheVoid Posted July 26, 2014 Author Posted July 26, 2014 Managed to dig out some more pictures: One of my favourites - It is no exaggeration when people say that the landscape on Antarctica is like no other place on earth.
