I am planning to get a Bicycle soon so that by the time Summer comes, I can start riding it. I rather ride bicycle then run on tread mill day in day out which I got bored of doing. I think it will be nice to be out there and ride on my bike and enjoy the nature and beautiful Mountains of Maryland :) Anylone else ride a bike(not motor bike). I haven't in last 10 years. I remember I had a Hero Buzz back in 2002 in India, which eventually got stolen from my house as it wasn't chained or locked.i Any suggestions which one to get? No idea what's out there these days.

I did a lot two years ago. Work took precedence over. Make sure you find a good trail. I would suggest you get a hybrid bike if you are a casual biker. It would cost around 200 - 400$ depending on the build and make. Go to a local bike store and buying online is a but of gamble. If you would like to be a professional it would cost 1000-2000$ or even more. I bought a Schwinn costed around 250 $. Oh I forgot there are mountain bike as well if you need to ride on more rugged terrain.

I ve a firefox colorado full suspension bike. It can't do stunts but it's a decent offroad. If you r riding in roads, then go for hardrail. If you really want to go to offroad then go for FS. Only thing you need to be carefull is while going downhill. Also, get a pet puppy. the best company for biking :--D

Haan bhai, main kar raha hoon biking 3 saal se. I started with a hybrid, got a Cannondale quick 5. It is a fun ride, for road and paved paths. Last summer also bought a mountain , the super awesome Trek X-Caliber 29'er. Mountain biking is more fun, gets heart rate up in a minute. In 45 minutes I am exhausted, while I can go hours on road on the hybrid. Lots of mtb trails in Boston/Mass. area. If you are starting out and not sure if you would like to do this long term, hybrid is the way to go.$500-600 can get you a good hybrid bike such as the quick 5 or quick 4. Try a hybrid for one season. After one season, if you love doing long trips (30 miles+), then go buy a nice road bike which will be $1000-2000. These will be much faster and are optimized for those long rides. If you would rather increase the thrill, then go buy a moutain such as the XCal..$1000-1200 will get you a great bike.
