alexander Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Cricket will return to Pakistan at some time. I empathise with Pakistani cricket fans, but until you can assure safety - what do you expect?
alexander Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 So? I didnt say it was good or bad. I enjoy 50 over cricket, but it cannot be a huge surprise then that the Asian sides tend not to be good test teams. All 3 are better ODI sides then test sides.
G_B_ Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Sri Lanka doesn't want to be humiliated like India. is that why you play 5 tests ashes v the aussies? to be humiliated 5-0 twice in the space of 6 years? :hysterical::hysterical:
King Tendulkar Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 PCB scared of aussies and want 2 test series. Paks bottled it and defo scared. Its pcb insisting in cutting test series games Running scared
KeyboardWarrior Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Its the part of our Plan ..... who has more money in the world thn Sheikhs ..... :winky: btw someone told me we found another place to play in Qatar ... :--D The war in Pakistani trible areas is going to end in 1 to 2 years depend on the US exit from Afghanistan. the coming months of March and April will be Decisive for Pak Army in War with Taliban. and who said foreigners are not coming to pakistan becoz of security issues ? many international teams visits pakistan for polo, snooker, judo karate, tennis etc for events. the cricket is high profile game for people thats why govt dont want to take risk. thats it ... So we are not in Hurry .... S.ganguly never seen such of security like pakistan. the batch of Cobra helicopters monitoring thre security in protocol. the Srilankan team incident was the failure of the incompetent Democrazy government.
Muloghonto Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 I didnt say it was good or bad. I enjoy 50 over cricket, but it cannot be a huge surprise then that the Asian sides tend not to be good test teams. All 3 are better ODI sides then test sides. In a few years, 20/20 will matter more than tests. They already do- which is why you see players like Gayle skipping Tests for 20/20 and Peterson chafing at bits to play IPL. Reality of professional sports is, the format/league that pays the most, attracts the highest level of play. Because players, like any other human being, are motivated by money and pure competition for money brings out the best in them. Test cricket is a relic, it will be relevant due to its history but it shouldn't be given priority, simply because it does not have the money to draw top talent. Except for artificial pronouncements like 'test cricket is still the real deal' and artificial tamperings of it ( minimum # of tests must be played, between nations), there is little keeping it alive.
Austin 3:!6 Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Something does not smell right. Why does the PCB seem perfectly content with the fact that all their 'home' matches are now permanently featured in the UAE? If my memory serves me right' date=' its been a good 4-5 years (min) since pakistan hosted a test match at home. I can understand all the teams being reluctant in the immediate aftermath of the attack on the lankan team and everything, but does not mean Pakistan is ‘untourable’ forever? Teams have toured violence afflicted nations before . England came to India for their test series literally days after the Mumbai 2008 attacks. Even in Pakistan, the NZ team’s hotel was bombed in the early 2000s and teams came back. Why this unusually long delay this time?[/quote'] Mumbai incident was different from what happened in Pakistan. Mumbai attacks were done by terrorists from Pakistan and Indian government was serious about anti terror measures & security of the nation. India by itself is not a terrorist state and was attacked by few coward deeks from neighbouring nation. This is not a regular event. Pakistan on the other hand supports terrorism. Their government is run by the army which is the biggest terrorist organization in the world. Bomb blasts happens regularly there, unlike India. Terrorists like Hafeez Saeed roam about freely in the street spreading hate amongst people yet government do nothing. Add to that the drone attacks of America and the Afghan taliban issue in western province. As a cricketer, I would not want to visit a nation where my a** is always on fire and not able to concentrate on cricket. I would not want to visit a nation where previously cricketers were targetted in a team bus in an attempt to hijack them. I would not want to visit a nation risking my own life and on the process my near & dear ones. You never know where the bomb will come from. You playing cricket - 'broom' one from sky (#American drones):giggle:, you sleeping in hotel- 'broom' another one under your bed:haha:, you see a beautiful lady and try to approach her - 'broom' she turned out to be a human bomb. :hysterical: You will feel like Diwali daily there in the heart of Karachi. Cricket is a sport...but life is life. I dont think cricket coming back to Pakistan for a long long time.
Asim Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 O wait. Lets be consistent with paki conspiracy theories:cantstop: Now I see.
