Detonator Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 True.....If you travel from Rishikesh to Dehradun...you will see notice boards all along the road warning against tuskers. Once we spent many hrs on that road at night because the police wouldn't allow vehicles unless it was a convoy of 100 vehicles. The police were regulating the conveys the whole night. It was scary. scary :(( lone tuskers are too unpredictable. here's my encounter with a tusker on new year's eve :(( http://www.indiancricketfans.com/showpost.php?p=2711577&postcount=11

rkt.india Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Majestic. Look at the size of it ! Siberian tiger is the biggest tiger in size. It is whitish in color than yellowish.
Tiger80 Posted January 21, 2014 Author Posted January 21, 2014 Siberian tiger is the biggest tiger in size. It is whitish in color than yellowish. Actually this claim is disputed . Many tiger experts believe That Bengal tigers vary in size and it is not the siberian but bengal tigers of Assam , Nepal and Mynamar are the biggest Bengal tiger larger than siberian tiger http://en.allexperts.com/q/Wild-Animals-705/Bengal-tiger-larger-siberian.htm And this is what Dr. Sunquist writes in recent his book: "Wild cats of the world" Average size of Amur Tigers is 495 lbs - Source: Sunquist, Mel and Fiona Sunquist. 2002. Wild Cats of the World. University Of Chicago Press, Chicago North west Indian and Nepalese Tigers are averaging 517 lbs. Source: Sunquist, Mel and Fiona Sunquist. 2002. Wild Cats of the World. University Of Chicago Press, Chicago And as amazing as it may sound, Nepalese tigers by no means the largest of the Northern Indian tiger race. The title belongs to the tiger of Assam, Northeast India, and Myanmar. The reason is Nepal tigers do not subject to rule 3, only rule1,2,4 apply.: “And also according to Dr. Mel Sunquist the tigers in Kaziranga national park of Assam are the largest bengal tigers he has come across and according to him, these tigers are larger than Nepal tigers.â€
