Should Kedar Jadhav be picked in the limited overs sides? [UPDATED 3 YEARS LATER]

Wow! Really? Has been very calm in the death while tonking it.
It really is ridiculous that they're sending him so low down the order. I'm pretty sure if Maxwell was in DD he would be playing at 6 or 7. Punjab has been smart enough to know that he's their best bat and are sending him in at No. 3, and look how that's turning out for them. At the present moment, Duminy and Jadhav are DD's best bats (a case could be made for Karthik too if not for his inconsistency). They need to bat at No. 3 and 4 respectively.

I am losing a lot of respect for GK and KP i meant its not working for DD. Try JP and Kedhar higher up the order. Clearly bowling is probably not gonna win matches for DD As for Kedar would love to see him in Indian colours in odis and t20s.

He will go the Badri way. Stay on the fringes for 5 - 6 years when in good form and high on confidence, then get a random chance when he is past his prime, fail a couple of times and get discarded for good. I've never seen him bat and don't know if he's got "it," but when Badri was given a chance to play, he was way past his prime and didn't seem to have the confidence to succeed at the highest level.

Fairly sure the team management is more at fault for the batting positions. Really is an extremely poor decision to send Laxmi Ratan Shukla over Duminy and Jadhav. They will need to grow some balls and make some brave decisions. Just because KP and DK are the players they've invested most in doesn't mean they have to bat at the highest positions. Duminy and Jadhav have given them a great finish over multiple games now but they just haven't had enough deliveries to play to make a significant impact on the game.

What probably went against Badrinath was that we had a settled middle-order that was very strong in the limited overs format. Now with Yuvraj's form dipping to an all-time low and with Rahane and Rayudu not proving to be ideal replacements, we need good middle-order ODI bats more than ever.

Jadhav would be a boost to our weak middle order in ODIs. Rayudu is a joke, and Rahane is a total misfit at #4. Rohit could drop down to #4 and Jadhav at #5. With either Rahane or Pujara opening for us. He looked very confident while playing Narine and executed his shots against him really well. Not a mere slogger, but a very good timer of the ball. An ideal player who is required in the team right now. Delhi should thank JP and Jadhav for saving their butt more than once after the top order collapse.

considering yuvrajs form and fitness, i don't think he will be part of worldcup. rainas form is good (ipl) and he is showing signs of improving his technique against short ball. we cannot leave both yovraj and raina at teh same time as well as that will leave our middle order too inexperienced. so i guess raina will be our no 4 in wc. that leaves 1 position for rayidu, thiwari and kedhar yadav.
