Our fast bowlers will have to start using their brains more, says Mahendra Singh Dhoni

yeah that was bad.I think Dhoni is worried about Aaron's fitness so bowls him in 2 over spells. but otherwise pacers have looked very bad overall.Their is just no pattern in their bowling.no stock ball.NZ bowlers bowl a stock ball in a good area over and over again whereas our guys seem to look for magic ball everytime and end up bowling all over the place.very hard to control that
I fear that Shami and Bhuvi are also going to fade away after showing initial promise.

Shami' date=' Kumar and Aaron only bowled in middle overs when batsmen got set after 25 or so overs. Any bowler will struggle when you are bowling to two set batsmen. Even NZ bowler struggled to bowl to Dhoni and Jadeja when they got set. You need to get batsmen out before them getting set. Why did Dhoni take off Aaron and Shami when they had just picked up 2 crucial wickets of Ryder and Guptil and brought 2 spinners in who had struggled to take wickets all through the series. You cannot bowl same pace with 2 spinners in tandem and try to contain. He needed spin from one end as he wants them to contain and pace from one to attack and go for wickets. These are very basic mistakes Dhoni made. Poor field settings on short straight boundaries by third man and fine leg to wide and leaking too many boundaries which could easily be singles. It happened in both the last matches.[/quote'] Fully agree with the silliness of Dhoni in wasting the spinners together. Jadeja and Ashwin should not bowl in tandem outside India or SC in ODIs, as their main role here would be to contain. Nor should Jadeja or Ashwin bowl in tandem with part timers. A pace bowler should be operating from one end all the time. Our pacemen may still be unsuccessful or go for runs, but at least that is a better strategy compared to what Dhoni is doing with the bowlers. With a weak bowling line up like this, we can't afford to have weak bowling plan also, and Dhoni's stupidity has cost us many more matches than we should have.

This is Shami's opportunity of seeing the big money. He'll at least make 5-6 crores here in one stroke and in no way is he going to miss it.

BCCI should compensate Shami, Umesh, Varun Aaron instead and ask them to take rest during IPL or play county cricket or domestic cricket in Australia as we have to take care of the few fast bowling options we have. But I really doubt they would care.

Dhoni is not just a moron but probably the most corrupt man in Indian cricket. He has his agenda, picking CSK and Rhiti players no matter the price paid. Still can't believe how players like Pujara, Yadav,Aaron are being consistently overlooked and some grade 1 idiots being picked over and over again.
