vvvslaxman Posted January 29, 2014 Author Posted January 29, 2014 Atlanta has become butt of jokes on the internet lol. there are lot of funny comments floating around.
punjabi_khota Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Atlanta/Houston are worst model of cities in the country. No wonder this **** happens to ****ed up urban-sprawl cities.
Ram Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 1 baby was born in all these chaos !! http://www.today.com/moms/it-was-beautiful-baby-born-atlanta-area-roadside-during-snowstorm-2D12014602 Forget that, the state of Georgia better lawyer up. They are going to have their life sued out of them by folks who missed their hair-salon appointments or guys who missed their job interviews etc, because of the snarl.. lol :phehehe:
ganeshran Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Atlanta has a great metro system, why aren't people using that?
GolGappe Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Bit harsh, Ram. If the roads are not salted-up and city is not prepared, even half an inch of snow can cause traffic nightmare. I've covered 20 km stretch in 4 hours with a sprinkle of snow on the roads.
vvvslaxman Posted January 29, 2014 Author Posted January 29, 2014 In 1922 when I was a child in up-state NY we would to walk the 5 miles up hill in 40 inches of snow in –15 degree weather to get to school. When it was time to go home the temperature dropped another 10 degrees to -25 for the 30 mile walk up hill to a warm bowl of Borscht soup mom had waiting for us. The folks in the south need to get a grip. i came across this comment under washingont post nes. Even news papaer takes a sarcastic dig. lol south paralyzed by 2 inches of snow lol
Brainfade Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 If that traffic chaos indicates stupidity, NYC could be considered stupid 24/7/365, no?
Brainfade Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 People dont commute to nyc in cars. And it's still insane.
