Bangla bowling wasn't discipline enough to apply the pressure for SL batsmen early on, then after SL ran away with it and their fielders starting to drop catches the bowling has lost it's venom even more as u would expect and that gave the impression the pitch was slow and flat. But it was a sporty pitch :agree:

Even present day India started playing only from Nov 1947' date=' so if you want to add the [b']10 matches played by british india from 1932-1936, followed by a 10 year break for world war 2, followed by 3 matches in 1946 to our tally then you have to add it to yours too. And please check how many pakistani players from present day pakistan's first match in 1952 were a part of British India's national and provincial teams. All of them, they had to be. So why do only present day India's players from 1947 get to carry the record from 1932 to 1946 and not pakistani players? Why should only pakistan get a clean start? So you have problem over 13 matches? Only captain Kardar and one other player from Pakistan's first test eleven previously played for India. Other 9 were making their test debut.

Now they make little over 200.

Wouldn't the right thing be to subtract those war years for all affected countries or present a different stat for countries uninterrupted by war, instead of mixing up the stats from countries that started playing before and after the war. And since you want to add 1932 to 1947 to India's years, going by the same logic you should add the same number of years to pakistan too. Maybe you can also add 1932 to 1971 to bangladesh since it was a part of united india and pakistan and those 2 nations were cricket playing nations during that time period. Because they were played under India? They weren't played as Pakistan or Bangladesh. It is a stat here and there by matches I don't know why you are taking it like I'm attack India. Why should India get special provisions on a stat, that would make the stat more biased and unreliable. Literally NZ, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have worse records and you are complaining about bias against India. They played under India, it counts as India. If I discount it then I should discount Australia till 1901, South Africa till 1934, West Indies to every single nation there gained independence and every other damn country. See how stupid that is, it is literally a stat by matches I've shown as well because the years were unreliable.

Other 9 were making their test debut. the issue is over the number of yrs where india was not independent n pak was part of india, so pak team was being represented as indian team. You could very well have had 11pak players playing from india if they were good enough

Test cricket is the most boring sport I have ever seen. Rubel Hossain avg 80 in test lets laugh at that hahah.

Square Drive Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 The other big problem with Bangladesh cricket has been is that they always play very young sides with an average age in the early twenties. What's happening to middle-aged players? You can understand this trend in SC fast bowlers but for batsmen it's strange. You need age-wise matured cricketers for test cricket, too many youngsters doesn't work regardless of how many matches they played.
