Jersey #10 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Honestly, I like Gambhir as a leader. He's a gutsy guy. I think we've had enough for "Mr. cool". We need an aggressive captain at this point and I feel that Gambhir is mature and just what we need. Kohli is immature at best

How is it worse than what the experienced Dhoni achieved against a number eight side? Dhoni fans give all credit to Dhoni while winning and put the blame on the poor team when Dhoni looses. You can't have your cake and eat it too. Anyway, if the captain is only as good as the team, we may as well go for a new captain with an eye on the future.

Although, I don't want to risk a new captain for a big tourney like WC in such a short time, that cliche isn't for Dhoni. He could assemble a better squad than this, but his stubborness in persisting with failures like Raina, Ashwin and Ishant in the recent times have been epic fail and its no other than the captain who should take the blame for it.

May be it's too late considering the world cup is just one year away. Also what's the alternative. I am not convinced by Kohli at all and I am no sure if it would be a good idea to put him under pressure just before the world cup. Let him continue till the world cup. Sack him after that.
