Cricketics Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Just getting a general view before the test series starts. I am seeing so many response of asking for Dhoni's head. Is this in frustration of his continuous poor captaincy and decisions. Do these same people really want a new captain or it's just for those moments they just starting to hate him. Let's get a clear view of how many people on the site want him to continue till world cup and how many of you want a new captain. I am a big Kohli fan and want him to captain, but not right now. I want Dhoni to lead us in 2015 World Cup.

He has been inflexible, adamant and showed no signs of changing his tactics despite losing. He stuck to his formula of playing the defensive game with spinners and part timers. We won World Cup and Champions Trophy under him, so he has capacity to lead. He is mentally strong and calm under pressure and very much capable of leading the team in a tournament like World Cup but needs to change tactics, learn to be more flexible and more pro active and has to back the youngsters especially the seamers.

He backs his friends who are sh*t like ishant Inflexible, inadaptable, adamant, stubborn.. the ugly side of MSD has been exposed and shown I want a young captain who will take responsbility and do whats best.

He has taken some odd decisions and has rightly been criticized but at the end of the day captain is as good as the team. Ponting is one of the worst aussie captain i have seen yet he has won it all. You can clearly see Delhi lobby getting Ishant in squad, binny family got a quota seat, Srini i am sure has his quota player ashwin; as a captain you have to deal with all this internal pressure and lets not overlook our lovely media. Dhoni is struggling now imagine putting a kid through all this and expect to win world cup in 11months time.

As long as dhoni is in the team, the new captain would always take advices from him and the results would be the same. Our only hope is wait till the world cup and after the world cup dhoni would retire from international cricket and a new captain with new ideas can get the desired results.

Switchblade Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 For T20 and Test Format Virat is the man to go to but right now asking him to lead the side for 2015 is too much he is our best batsman and being captain the pressure will be too much on him should be captain after the 2015 WC
