The disappointing thing for me is that we are still relying on a 35 year old guy who was brilliant no doubt but now is finished he gets unfit time and time again would rather have him as a bowling coach of the team than an active player in the playing 11.

Its the whole attitude dhoni gives to the team which effects bowlers and the fielding. A who gives a dammn attitude as secure and will still rake in $$$. A different skipper could instill intensity, determination, fight, energy, desire, effort etc etc Yadav average is very god and was good in last test match. But not played since Bringing back zak seemed a worthy gamble for SA series. Yet after second test it ws obvious to every tom dick and harry that zak was finished at this level. Yet next tour here is leading bowling attack with 125kmph lollipops. If we could all see after 2nd test in SA this, why not dhoni. Meanwhile have hungry 90mph bowler sitting out again and again and again and again

If you watch India news and few others you will know that they lay it to the Indian team plus there are other important issues in the country so they get more coverage

Honestly the problem has more to do with a lack of depth in our domestic set up. The selectors drop ishant and he picks up 9 wickets in his first ranji trophy match. Meanwhile Aron and yadav don't do as well yet the selectors still (rightfully so) select them. I can't really blame the selectors too much for that. Our Ranji trophy Sucks big time, no crowds, too many matches not being televised, hardly any Media coverage, so I am guessing theirs not much investing at that level so we really shouldn't be that surprised that we are struggling producing quality players. Our batsman at the dometic level batsman must suck too if guys like Ishant and vinnay are dominating them. Bottom line for Indian fans and media is if they care about test cricket they should follow the ranji trophy more.

What will happen then will he lose his captaincy what happened to Srini when he was under so much pressure from the media did he leave ? Plus if I get you correctly you want this overseas losses to be a major issue headache for our country the thing is that the election is right around the corner and then the student from Arunachal who was beaten to death are getting major coverage.Cricket is not bigger than the country and again I say to you just treat it like a sport.This is a young team even I want MS to leave and with him I want Srini to go but they are not going anywhere so why repeat the same thing again and again my friend when nothing is going to change.

Had I been the chairman of selectors, I would have picked Dhoni as a wicket-keeper batsman but it is time to look beyond him as a Test captain," Srikkanth said.
