Trade is normal between the two countries, artists cross borders routinely to perform, other sporting ties aren't affected. What is the rational for singling out cricket ?

Most popular and hence most people care about it on an emotional level. None of the other things affect more than a handful of people. Most of the times, people don't even know those artists are performing until it is over. And not to forget, we are not so economically strong in other sports so cannot afford to ignore matches. Cricket on the other hand is huge. The hype and news is generated months in advance. Most of the Pakistani boycott has been political in nature and you know this. I cannot believe a 2-1 loss in a 3 match ODI series of all thing is what will affect future series's when the BCCI has shown they do not care about anything else apart from money, not even results. And a Pakistan series generates a lot of money Of course going forward it will be even more difficult for a tour what with PCB having pissed BCCI off

Current team isn't perfect and has its own issues but it would give a great contest.
