Midfielder Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 First I would like to congratulate Pakistan but the real reason was crappy schedule. As a coach I can tell you two tough games back to back are hard to play. Pakistan had four days off to rest and India played SL and pakistan in two day span. pakistan is really not that much of a team but let us be proud we took the game to the last over. Quit looking for scapegoats as everyone played well. I m proud of indian performance.
Midfielder Posted March 3, 2014 Author Posted March 3, 2014 Trust me there is so much a human body can do. It need s rest. Two grueling matches back to back is a problem.
vvvslaxman Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Indian team depends on winning the toss and chasing even with their first choice especially in subcontinental conditions. This is transition team. It will take a while before we learn to defend totals.
suraj Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Trust me there is so much a human body can do. It need s rest. Two grueling matches back to back is a problem. only 3-4 players show up/match so not so tiring

Old guy Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Trust me there is so much a human body can do. It need s rest. Two grueling matches back to back is a problem. well its nature of sports just deal with it..they are professionals and they should know how to manage also this is game where you play 5 days on row and there is certain guy dale steyn who was steaming in with hamstring injury and other illness in last game :winky: just accept they were better side and they won on merit and performed better than us.
suraj Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 put same players in IPL with millions; they'll be willing to play 2 matches/day 365 days/year
Old guy Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 put same players in IPL with millions; they'll be willing to play 2 matches/day 365 days/year players are not complaining so lets not take dig at them
Midfielder Posted March 3, 2014 Author Posted March 3, 2014 Dale also has drop in performance too. It is biology. You can condition the body but it does take a toll.
Haarkarjeetgaye Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 are you from Dhoni or virat fan club or actually one of them. what a rubbish excuse..
Old guy Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Dale also has drop in performance too. It is biology. You can condition the body but it does take a toll. Oh come on by this logic all World Cup finals until now have been farce ? Hope as a coach u don't have this attitude ...

Midfielder Posted March 3, 2014 Author Posted March 3, 2014 Oh come on by this logic all World Cup finals until now have been farce ? Hope as a coach u don't have this attitude ... World cup finals are at equal footing. They have two equally matched teams play the game with almost the same rest time. In this case both the teams are about the same with one team getting twice as much rest with an easy game before it. It does make a difference. This game was a difference of few balls only a slow step here and there and that is the game.

Maybe half or one day with equally matched teams. Not twice the number of days with one team playing against pretenders and other against possible champs. Apples and oranges. Tough matches take a toll.
