In fact the US FAA had prohibited US carriers from flying over Crimea in April. Now all major airlines are saying one by one that they won't be flying over this region.

I don't think it is taken even into consideration while deciding route of commercial planes whether area they passing through is war zone or no. Whole Pakistan and Afganistan are kind of war zone but all flights fly over this region as routine.
