riya Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Agreed..Imran deserves respect from cricket lovers...Talking back is fine, but shouldn't go overboard...
Austin 3:!6 Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Cant really blame them. When a team have a superior record in ODIs and tests these small victories means big to them.
Midfielder Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Let me be honest, Imran has been acting like a fool for long time but I do have deep respect for Afridi. Win or lose he showed class today. Let us appreciate Afridi for that.
G_B_ Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 some of the statements coming out of pakistan after that asia cup win were incredible. It was a match in a *****y tournament. you would think it was the world cup final.

kubrickian Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Best one - Forget Mohali, remember Mirpur from now on.. :hysterical: Didnt last long did it... Oh yes, they will remember Mirpur alright. :winky: World T20 2014.
G_B_ Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Best one - Forget Mohali, remember Mirpur from now on.. :hysterical: Didnt last long did it... I think what happens in pakistan is, the media gives their former players etc money to make sensational statements. Like say i am an ex pakistani player. Some media channel offers me $500 for every sensational statement make. Thats why you have statements like Shehzad is more talented than Tendulkar. This is exactly what happens with private media competing for eyeballs. Especially in places like Pakistan. Pakistan probably has like 5-6 news/sports channels. Clearly you need to stick out from the rest.

Was little surprised that Akhtar has been hired by the Star commentary panel for Hindi commentary he goes Over the top with his comments will be interesting how he does for the Star panel.

Akther is a drama queen. a self obsessed one. You would think Akther had won multiple world cups the way he goes on. Star sports probably needed a monkey to entertain the masses. so they got one.
singhprakash72 Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 +1 Totally agree, please don't stoop to level when you start jumping up & down after winning an ODI or T20 match....I wouldn't give 2 hoots if Pak would have won today but it seems to be working psychologically against them, the WC matches. India should aim to win the Tournament and not go back to 90s mentality of winning against Pak is all they need.

He did say Virat would not have gone after him he would have looked to play him out and smash others when asked how he would have bowled to Virat :giggle:
vijay50 Posted March 21, 2014 Author Posted March 21, 2014 lets not take cheap low-class potshots at a legit legend of the game - whatever Imran did or did not do' date=' he was a quality player, and a great captain to boot.[/quote'] In what way what he said was quality.care to explain me?.By making such statements what does it tell about him?

Credit for Dhoni for showing who the boss is on field.
Midfielder Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 End of the day it should be just another game and not against Pakistan. My coach used to tell me it is the ball you play not the person bowling. As long as India treats the Pakistan game as any other game they would be fine but no need to attach any special significance to this game. It is just another game.
jonas10 Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 agw66y3mGtc Hahahaha i love Imran Khan because he genuinely believes in some mythological martial theory. Here he is glorifying the mighty Pathans and Punjabis (I am a Punjabi by the way :hysterical: ). Geniuses like him have polluted Pak minds that Pak players just show up and their beef eating fast bowlers will flay the frail veg eating Indians raw. Such a motivation to India whenever they stupidly publicly spew this crap. Lmao I wish Dhoni and Kohli would publically say what they really think of Pakistan but they are way too smart for that. :finger:
Asim Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 ^ yeah agree Dhoni is bigger, better n smarter "Politician" than Imran Khan :cantstop:
jonas10 Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 ^ LOL @ imrans inherent hatred. He is asked what he thinks of Kumar and immediately changes the subject the the jolly green giant who isnt even in squad any more. Imran would rather eat a dosa than praise an Indian's performance.
Haarkarjeetgaye Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 are you nuts...Afridis 6ss have to be talked about till 2019 WC....we need him in the pakistani team
TheWall Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Imran might hsve been a great player or captain, but now he behaves n talks like a clown
