We have the next two-and-a-half weeks to figure out the best player in the NCAA Tournament. Perhaps a bunch-scoring senior such as Creighton’s Doug McDermott or Louisville’s Russ Smith. Maybe a lottery-ticketed freshman such as Kansas’ Andrew Wiggins or Duke’s Jabari Parker. 18295d1395468156-slammin-sikh-is-new-basketball-sensation-uspw_7160644.jpgBut there’s no question who’s the biggest: It’s 7-foot-5, 355-pound New Mexico State center Sim Bhullar, hands (the size of dinner plates) down. Bhullar, a native of Toronto who is of Punjabi heritage (the “Slammin’ Sikh” nickname doesn’t seem like it will get off the ground), isn’t just an oversize curiosity. The 21-year-old sophomore behemoth — who was 6-foot-5 by the sixth grade, and now has size-22 feet and an 8-foot wingspan — can play a tiny bit. He put up 10.3 points, 7.9 rebounds and 3.4 blocks while averaging 26.2 minutes per game for the WAC champion Aggies. No. 13 seed New Mexico State opens against No. 4 San Diego State on Thursday night in Spokane, Wash. “He’s so vastly improved,” San Diego State coach Steve Fisher said of Bhullar, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. “He’s a force.” His not-so-little brother Tanveer, who stands only 7-foot-3, is a freshman at New Mexico State. http://nypost.com/2014/03/19/meet-the-slammin-sikh-the-biggest-man-in-march-madness/

He has improved a lot but he's alright. He's very slow for a center but his size does him justice to play so many minutes on a very quality team. He could make NBA for his size. He works extremely hard in practices.

Sacramento's owner is indian as well. Trying to break into the Indian market. As for Bhullar, from what I saw, he's big but fairly slow and needs to work on his defense. Plus needs to work a lot on his conditioning if he's to survive the rigors of NBA. Anyhow good for him and best of wishes.

Yao Ming was a Playa - Best Center in the League (if he could only stay healthy) This guy sucks donkey balls. He will be in the d league and will then just fade into oblivion. Except size , he has got nothing NBA caliber (or prospects of developing into one). "Can't teach size" adage is the only reason he has gotten so far.

If he can match Yao Ming, that would be quite an achievement. At the moment, he needs to work in a lot of areas and is really far behind. Even though they signed him, I think he's not ready yet. Could have played in the D league for a couple of seasons. Let's see if he'll feature in the next season.

he doesn't know how to use his size to his advantage, just wanders around like a grizzly bear. i was just saying for a guy his size, yao ming would be the type of person you would look up to becoming but yeah its not gonna happen

his knees will probably give up. As a doctor i have doubts as his cartilages in his knee will be able to withstand the rigors of continuous jumps. still best of luck.
