jim-jams
jaques is no surprise, been prolific for years now but on hogg, why on earth would australia even entertain the notion of picking him over macgill Link to comment
coffee_rules
Any selection that is good for Australia cannot be celebrated. I wish they select more Katichs and McGills. Bring back Gillespie. Link to comment
Mr. Wicket
Yes, but Jaques is a gun. The sort of batsman who would have smashed his way into any other team in the world three years ago had he not been Aussie and competing with Hayden/Langer. A batsman of high calibre who's finally getting a go before it's too late. I hope he can make up for lost time and plunder some runs this summer. Link to comment
Cricketics
Bring back Brad williamz.. Link to comment
Chandan
So Australia have announced their XI: 1 Matthew Hayden, 2 Phil Jaques, 3 Ricky Ponting (capt), 4 Michael Hussey, 5 Michael Clarke, 6 Andrew Symonds, 7 Adam Gilchrist (wk), 8 Brett Lee, 9 Mitchell Johnson, 10 Stuart Clark, 11 Stuart MacGill Men in bold are the players who've replaced the retired ones! Ram
^ Bump ! No wonder Salil was obsessed with Jacques. Maiden test ton against a very decent bowling attack. Bad news for other countries. Link to comment
