Detonator Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 My dad used to own a Fiat 1100D or Premier Padmini. Nice car it was. He owned it for nearly 30 yrs I believe. I learnt driving. The gears are placed behind the wheel so it's easy to shift gears unlike today's cars. Miss it a lot.

I got a chance to see a crashed VW Passat. They have this hollow body panel technology, which gives the car more stability and milage. But they suck at safety. According to my law college friend, nearly 40% of the people get third degree sprains or fractures and 25% are fatal. That's 65%, where the car doesn't have protection. I think our govt will mandate crash test for all the cars in near future.
