Switchblade Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 http://indianexpress.com/article/sports/cricket/bcci-moves-sc-to-get-access-to-statements-by-srinivasan-and-dhoni/ The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday moved the Supreme Court to get the audio recordings of statements made by beleagured chief N Srinivasan and Indian captain M S Dhoni before the court panel. The move by the cricketing body comes in the wake of controversy over the apex court panel holding that Srinivasan and Dhoni lied over the role of Gurunath Mayeippan in Chennai Super Kings. BCCI on the last date refuted Dhoni having ever told the panel that Mayeippan was only a cricket enthusiast and had nothing to do with CSK. A bench led by Justice A K Patnaik allowed the BCCI to file the application seeking the audio tapes, which currently lie with the court in a sealed cover. Srinivasan’s son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan had been indicted for betting in IPL 2013 by the SC-appointed probe panel, prompting the bench to give Srinivasan an ultimatum to step down or risk being removed.
CSK Fan Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 So are they planning action on the duo? Will Srini be sidelined?
bulbul Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 So are they planning action on the duo? Will Srini be sidelined? They are asking this to find loopholes & defend Seeni.
Straight Drive Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 After Srinis wicket, one more wicket about to fall in weeks time ? Srinivasan representing BCCI is illegal: Verma http://www.cricbuzz.com/cricket-news/62658/srinivasan-representing-bcci-is-illegal-verma Meanwhile, Sundar Raman, the CEO of the Indian T20 League is also under pressure to quit after his name was linked to the betting and match-fixing scandal by the Supreme Court enquiry committee looking into the investigations. With his credibility at stake, media reports suggest he might 'resign' this week.
velu Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014  They are asking this to find loopholes & defend Seeni. This ..
IndianRenegade Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014  They are asking this to find loopholes & defend Seeni. But shouldn't he already know what he said to the panel?
Crookbond Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 But shouldn't he already know what he said to the panel? They do but having access is for formal proof to be presented in court. That's what a good defendant lawyer would do.
achilles Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 BCCI on the last date refuted Dhoni having ever told the panel that Mayeippan was only a cricket enthusiast and had nothing to do with CSK. My God. These guys could disprove gravity.
Straight Drive Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 I have read somewhere that there was suspicion over the CSK match where someone from management allegedly said they will score around 140 only and that actually happened. which match was that. can anyone post that match's scorecard ?
Crookbond Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Why ? For now. They will decided it on the next date.
Sachin=GOD Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 SC says that Mudgal committee report on spot fixing has 13 names including SRINIVASAN
gattaca Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 SC says that Mudgal committee report on spot fixing has 13 names including SRINIVASAN csk lol the whole team is involved. Thought Srini was not in to fixing.
CSK Fan Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 There are 3 other teams involved (apart from CSK and RR) according to the Mudgal report. Also named 3 major IPL officials and Srini himself. 12 players across 5 teams
Sachin=GOD Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 The Indian Express @IndianExpress Srinivasan must be kept out of the affairs of BCCI, says Supreme Court Press Trust of India @PTI_News SC asks BCCI and Srinivasan to respond on how the probe be conducted into the allegations. CNN-IBN News @ibnlive BCCI itself should probe allegations by Mudgal Committe against 13 people: SC
Crookbond Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 SC says that Mudgal committee report on spot fixing has 13 names including SRINIVASAN Source? AFAIK - there are allegations against Sriniviasan but not necessarily spot fixing which you seem to imply. Meanwhlle, Sundar Raman will continue as COO in IPL7. Apparently, it was Gavaskar's recommendation.
Sachin=GOD Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Source? AFAIK - there are allegations against Sriniviasan but not necessarily spot fixing which you seem to imply. Meanwhlle, Sundar Raman will continue as COO in IPL7. The Indian Express @IndianExpress JUST IN: SC says "serious allegations" against N Srinivasan and 12 others listed in a confidential report by IPL probe panel Press Trust of India @PTI_News Any probe into allegations made by Mudgal committee against 13 people including N Srinivasan should be done by BCCI itself to maintain its i http://www.firstpost.com/sports/sc-vs-bcci-live-mudgal-report-reveals-13-names-including-srinivasans-1482207.html
Sachin=GOD Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 If Srinivasan's name has come up in the report then why is the SC asking him and BCCI to respond on how the probe should be done?
Malcolm Merlyn Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 SC says if BCCI doesnt investigate the allegations satisfactorily SC will form a SIT.And Srini cant be with BCCI. Srini can forget the BCCI chair for sometime now.
