and i feel this guy Rahul Sinha needs to go....its all very well they want to attract north indian migrants but this guy just does not have the capacity. You need charismatic leaders. This guy is more of a behind the scenes man. I think Varun Gandhi trades a bit too much on his fathers name. But atleast he had fire when he was given responsibility. In the coming days a lot of CPM cadre who defected from to the BJP are going to defect back considering they expected BJP to overtake the CPM.

its incompetence from local BJP units. No point blaming the people of WB. Infighting and a lack of direction and message. This guy Rahul Sinha has been a trooper for the BJP. He has worked hard and been loyal to the cause even during the bad times (nationally) He should be rewarded for his efforts with a Rajya Sabha ticket. However he needs to make way for a more charismatic character with the X factor. Some BJP presidents in states which they have no presence, aka Sinha and Tamilisai , i dont think you will get far with them. They are local and loyal. But lack their vision. You cant expect Shah to micro manage everything. I have high hopes from GK Reddy in Telangana. They guy from Assam is also good.

seems there has been widespread vote rigging in west bengal.... maybe we need to look at the context of the BJP results then. Seriously what sort of chump party is Trinamool. They would have won anyway without all the rigging. I can understand you want to rig something when you are losing. Both the left and the bjp and congress have called a bandh. The centre needs to step in and call for presidential rule. I get a feeling if you dont vote for trinamool you dont get to vote at all.

btw results are out tomorrow i have low expectations. Will be happy if BJP manage to win 1-2 out of 92 municipalities. People on twitter are saying 70 trinamool 22 cpm. 0 others.

Dont expect these polls to reflect the true depth of BJP in WB.

That's just as bad for CPM too though . Probably rigged by TMC .Either that or the opposition votes are too divided . Will be interesting to see the combines vote share of CPM Cong and BJP.

I think BJP should go all out to woo Mukul Roy. he is not a mass leader but he is a person who can think tactically and provide islands in the sea of trinamool congress from which the bjp can operate The unexpected winners in all this are the congress party.

Nothing new. Whenever BJP loses he holds stupidity of voters responsible for that as if people of India have a moral obligation to make Modi/Shah victorious every single time they are part of the poll process. If they don't do that they are stupid.

one thing is clear BJP and Modi need to get as many reforms as they can through the parliament. I doubt its possible to win 70 on 80 seats in UP in 2019. The only way you can buffer for that is via expansion in other states. WB, Telangana, Andhra, TN, Orissa, Kerala. These 5 major states where the bjp currently have barely 10 MPs.That does not seem to be happening due to strong regional parties in 4 of the 5 states. The BJP i feel will realistically finish on 215- 230 odd seats if Modi governs well (which i expect him to). This means in addition to current allies saddling yourself with the BJD and/or AIADMK. Makes passing reforms incredibly difficult.

The Logical Indian ‪#‎MyStory‬ ❝ Two events happened to me recently about which I want to share my experiences. My dad passed away about 5 months ago at the ripe old age of 94. He had retired in 1975 as Supdt.Engr in CPWD in Delhi and was getting the central govt pension from 1975 to 2014 (about 40,000/-per month). In the year 2010 he wrote to the ministry of pensions asking to include my mother's name Sharadha,now 89 yrs as the family pensioner. In the year 2012. due to my father's failing eyesight I reminded them by email as well as by phone to Delhi. I was told they are processing it and will send the revised papers "soon". 2014 came and my dad had still not received confirmation of my mom's name as family pensioner. He passed away assuming his wife will not be the recipient of around 25,000/-PM as her pension. When I went to the bank after my dad's death with all papers they said my mom's name was not in the pension payment order. Frustrated I sent a copy of the earlier correspondence of 2010 to the pension ministry. Within 4 days I got an email from some clerk saying the papers will be ready within a week( not a vague "soon"). On the 5 th day I got a phone call from a person who introduced himself as Dr Jitendra Singh and he said the papers with my mom's details have been sent to the bank that very day. I hung up thanking him. When I checked their web site Dr Jitendra Singh was the minister of state for pensions and personnel grievances,reporting to a Sr. cabinet minister who was Modi himself. When I called back to thank the minister himself ,he modestly said it was the PM's directive that no woman who has lost her husband recently should be further traumatized by delayed paperwork on pensions. (What Manmohan did not do in 4 yrs Modi did in 4 days) And last month when my mom had to give her life certificate to the bank a bank officer came home to get her signature due to her old age. (Last year I had taken my 93 years old dad to the bank with great difficulty). The bank also confirmed it was Finance ministry directive to treat Sr. Citizens with extra sensitivity! Been following the preparation of the bjp for the panchayat polls in karnataka. Been impressed. The panchayat polls are a congress stronghold in karnataka. However BJP is expected to make inroads in this segment.
