oneANDone Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Never seen this much luck favors particularly one player that too in T20 cricket. Though Luck favors the Brave, here in his case luck and brave chasing each other and producing exponential growth. :hatsoff: to Sir Maxwell.
rkt.india Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 You create your own luck. When Sehwag at his peak, there was none more lucky batsman than him.
oneANDone Posted May 15, 2014 Author Posted May 15, 2014 You create your own luck. When Sehwag at his peak' date=' there was none more lucky batsman than him.[/quote'] sums it very well. i had written him off after seeing first couple of innings thought of bit lucky, but now he created lot of panic to opponents and bowlers especially spinners. Its not just luck, he creates it with his brave approach. its just wonderful to watch while he toying with the bowlers.
vvvslaxman Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 He has the license to go after bowling. He has decent sense of timing. He is a bit like Ross Taylor through midwicket. Only difference is you can stifle Taylor a bit by bowling slighly wide outside the off. Maxwell is in such good form that he plays reverse sweep exceptionally well. So you can't bowl on his pads, you can't bowl straight, you can't bowl on the off as well. You need to turn big from leg to off to make an impact. left arm spinners, leggies best bet. Jaddu owned him in Tests. Even in the first match he was leg before to Jaddu but not given.
vvvslaxman Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Next auction everyone will be fighting for maxwell. MI will pick him. He will start sucking lol.
kumar713 Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Bounce him out or make him hit through Long off Maxi will suck
Old guy Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Next auction everyone will be fighting for maxwell. MI will pick him. He will start sucking lol. Why do you think he won't be retained ?
yoda Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 He will fail when his team needs him the most, much like Gayle did in previous years. If not, he and his team deserve the cup. No worries.
Old guy Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 He has not choked like gayle under pressure tbh And final is on patta he has his weakness and that would be tracks were you spent even score 150 but now finals might be at neutral venue which is famous for short boundaries and patta tracks ...if they reach there I will back either him or miller to fire
yoda Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 ^We'll see. Pressure of performing in finals is a special one. All for the glory or end up with nothing.
Old guy Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 ^We'll see. Pressure of performing in finals is a special one. All for the glory or end up with nothing. from what i have seen they are not really under lot of pressure its dhoni way of leading team with no pressure and taking game at a time and you can see even after he gets out he is calm and having fun these 2 teams have best atmosphere and team spirit going also gayle was doing most of his scoring on one ground and he has never really done well under pressure even for rcb he was given licence to waste first 6 overs to set in and score big
vvvslaxman Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 ^We'll see. Pressure of performing in finals is a special one. All for the glory or end up with nothing. But Dhoni's weakness is sloggers :cantstop: . Remember Manvinder Bisla
yoda Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 But Dhoni's weakness is sloggers :cantstop: . Remember Manvinder Bisla True, I thought that finals should have been a cake walk till the Bisla decided to go crazy.
vvvslaxman Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 True' date=' I thought that finals should have been a cake walk till the Bisla decided to go crazy.[/quote'] Be with India or CSK he just catches cold feet when he runs into slogging. He can handle with guys who build innings. If spinners have semblance of assistance he will become a different captain. On flat pitches he does not go in with any advantage despite having ocean of captaining experience.

That's why final being in Bangalore is crucial ...it will be flat another 200 run game
Zelig Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 I don't know about luck, but the guy is very cocky :om:
